About the Creators

Hello Educators! I am Laura, creator and author of the Kind Minds Curriculum. I am a qualified Primary Teacher and Schools Speech and Language Therapist. I am proud to have trained with Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP), the most established provider of mindfulness training and curricula for schools.

The Kind Minds Curriculum lessons have evolved inside the classrooms of myself, and my sister Kate Boniface, co-founder of The Kindness Curriculum. Kate brings her experience as a Primary Teacher (having taught across every year group) and as a mother of 2, and our combined educational experience equates to 18 years in total. Our Kindness Curriculum journey began with the sudden loss of our father when we were ages 11 and 13. Knowing the immeasurable benefits that mindfulness has brought to our lives, we reflect on our education and childhood as a missed opportunity for learning these skills.

The Kind Minds Curriculum has been created with so much love, and a passion to bring the things that really matter into the primary classroom. Whether this leads you to pressing that “buy” button, or simply something to keep on the back-burner, I am so happy that you have found this page, and that you can learn a bit more about Kind Minds.

With love and kindness,

Laura and Kate

Is this curriculum and online course right for me?

Kind Minds has been designed for educators/teachers, with the primary intention to implement mindfulness in classrooms and schools. However all of the curriculum content is transferrable to a variety of educational and therapeutic contexts. For example, you might be a yoga teacher/therapist/teaching assistant/parent who wants to develop their mindfulness tool-kit.

If you are interested in implementing Kind Minds throughout your whole school then please visit the Kind Minds for Schools page via our website: https://www.kindness-curriculum.com/school

How do I work through the programme content?

Kind Minds is designed to be worked through at your own pace. This is not a live programme and all videos are pre-recorded. With regard to the curriculum lessons, we explain how the downloadable resources can be used throughout the academic year for each year group.

How can I implement the curriculum in our weekly school timetable?

All the resources are "ready-to-teach" (zero extra planning required)
1. Each lesson can be taught as a 20 min OR 45 mins-1 hour lesson.
2. We provide a suggested timeline to implement the lessons throughout the academic year (e.g 1x weekly lesson). Alternatively, you can select the lesson content that feels best suited to your class, and follow your own schedule.

What age-group is this curriculum/course designed for?

Kind Minds is designed for children aged 2-11. The EYFS curriculum is for ages 2-5. The Primary Curriculum is for ages 5-11, including separate schemes of learning for each year group.

How does this curriculum apply at a whole-school level?

Please note that this single-user course/curriculum is strictly for personal classroom use. Resources can not be shared with other staff members and please review our terms and conditions for more information. If you are interested in implementing Kind Minds across the whole-school (Kind Minds School License) then please visit our schools page via our website: https://www.kindness-curriculum.com/school
